DingbocheDingboche

Dingboche is a small and the last Sherpa village in the Everest region. It is an accommodation site for trekkers and climbers following the EBC trekking route. The village is rich in culture and diversity. The nearby Nagarjuna Peak is a hiking site for acclimatization and an amazing view of snowcapped mountains.

Overview

Dingboche is the Sherpa village located at 4410 m/14468.5 feet in the Everest region, Solukhumbu district, Nepal. It is the best place for an amazing view of Mount Ama Dablam, Thamserkhu, Lhotse, and Island Peak. The lowest atmospheric pressure and reduced oxygen level make survival difficult in Dingboche. Therefore, most trekking companies offer a rest day in Dingboche to acclimatize for the Everest base camp trek.

Dingboche is the last Sherpa village in the Khumbu region in its history, but currently we can see settlements in Lobuche, Gorekshep, and other places higher than Dingboche. The gompa, mane, and chorten reflect the Buddhist religion of Dingboche. Explore the farm, reduced vegetation, treeless hills, and mountains below snowcapped peaks.

Nagarjuna Peak

Nagarjuna Peak is the hiking peak from Dingboche to gain altitude and return to lower elevation for acclimatization. The Nagarjuna peak is located at 5089 m/16696.19 feet. We can have a great view of Mount Ama Dablam, Thamserkhu, Lhotse, and Island Peak from Nagarjuna.
