The heaven of the earth – Pach Pokhari lies in Lantang National Park at the central Himalayan region of Nepal. It is extended in three districts:- Nuwakot, Rasuwa and Sindhupalchowk at an elevation of about 4100m above sea level. Pach pokhari is a religious place and famous among Hindu pilgrims. Also, a stamp with a feature of Pach Pokhari was issued by the Postal service department of Government Nepal in 2011.

What is special about Panch Pokhari trek?
Panch Pokhari trek begins after reaching Chautara (1450m) – the district headquarter of Sindupalchowk from Kathmandu. With the beginning of the trek you will know various cultures of tamang and Sherpa people. The hospitality of Tamang and Sherpas people, their behavior definitely gives you happiness and make your trek easy and interesting. The wonderful landscape, beautiful seneries of hills and mountains, chirping of birds, burble sound of waterfalls and rivers absolutely gives great feeling. Steady walk from Chautra towards Sano Okhereni (1925m) is much more interesting due to ethnic valleys and mixed settlements of various caste. Crossing small streams, view of terraced farmlands gives additional joy. After reaching Okhereni, you will rest and have night stay with camp fire.
Next day your trek begins towards Kami Kharka (2810m) which includes uphill and downhill for few hours. The trail is fascinating with dense wood of Rhododendrons and pine forest. The chirping of birds, views of various diversified plants and animals is more interesting as well as Danphe- the national bird of Nepal is another major attraction of this trial.
The trial from Kami Kharka to Pauwa Bas (3000m) is the trails of rhododendron wood within the forest of Juniper oak and pine forest for 4-5 hours. The houses of nomads for migrating cattle herders is amazing.
Pauwa Bas to Hile bhangyang (3400m) comprises 5-6 hours hiking in uphill and downhill with views of great white mountains. Night stay in local lodge support to get complete rest with good hospitality.
Hile Bhanjyang to Narsim Pati (3700m)includes easy walk with view of green slopes and rocky hills, rhododendron forest and night stay in holy-inn made for pilgrimage tour.
Narsim Pati to Panch Pokhari (4100m)
The destination of the trip is pach pokhari. As mentioned by the name Pach Pokhari i.e. five lakes are holy lakes. Generally Hindu visit this place as holy trip in sake of Lord Shiva during Janaipurnma.

Panch Pokhari to Tupi danda (2320m) a trail of 6-7 hours begins with a delightful view of mountains viz Mt. Dorje Lakpa, Jugal Himal Range, Rolwaling Range and Langtang Range soundly along with Panch Pokhari.
The trip to Dhap (1200m) from Tupi danda is downhills which include the view of beautiful terraces of hillsides, gorge, and settlements of Tamang people. You will get opportunity to explore the culture, tradition and architectural prosperity of the locality of Dhap village.
After a rest day, your trial heads towards Melamchi(800m) which takes around 5 to 6 hours. The Melamchi hydroelectric project, Melamchi Pul Bazaar, river Melamchi, densely populated lodge and market are outstanding to explore.
Finally, you will reach Kathmandu via bus from Melamchi observing scenic beauty until 5-6 hours.
