It is extended into three districts:- Nuwakot, Rasuwa, and Sindhupalchowk at an elevation of about 4100m above sea level. Panch Pokhari is a religious place and famous among Hindu pilgrims. Also, a stamp with a feature of Panch Pokhari was issued by the Postal service department of Government Nepal in 2011.

Panch Pokhari literally known as five lakes is a remote region even though it is close to the capital Kathmandu. Naturally one cannot explain the beauty of Panch Pokhari in words. The clear water of the lakes and views of the chain of Himalayan ranges example   Jugal Himal, Dorje Lakpa (6966m) Madiya (6257m), and Phurbi Chhyachu (6,637 m) is incredible. What is special about the Panch Pokhari trek?

Panch Pokhari trek begins after reaching Chautara (1450m) – the district headquarter of Sindupalchowk from Kathmandu. At the beginning of the trek, you will know various cultures of the Tamang and Sherpa people. The hospitality of Tamang and Sherpas people, their behavior definitely gives you happiness and makes your trek easy and interesting. The wonderful landscape, beautiful sceneries of hills and mountains, chirping of birds, burble sound of waterfalls and rivers absolutely gives a great feeling.  The place gives peace and recreation ever you had in your lifetime. Blooming various colors of rhododendron in the forest lining gives fantastic scenery in spring.

The steady walk from Chautra towards Sano Okhereni (1925m)  is much more interesting due to ethnic valleys and mixed settlements of various castes. Crossing small streams, the view of terraced farmlands gives additional joy. After reaching Okhereni, you will rest and have a night's stay at the campfire.

The next day your trek begins towards Kami Kharka (2810m) which includes uphill and downhill for a few hours. The trail is fascinating with dense wood of Rhododendrons and pine forest. The chirping of birds and views of various diversified plants and animals is more interesting as well as  Danphe- the national bird of Nepal is another major attraction of this trial.

The trial from Kami Kharka to Pauwa Bas (3000m) is the trails of rhododendron wood within the forest of Juniper oak and pine forest for 4-5 hours. The houses of nomads for migrating cattle herders is amazing.

Pauwa Bas to Hile Bhangyang (3400m) comprises 5-6 hours of hiking in uphill and downhill with views of great white mountains. Night stay in local lodge support to get complete rest with good hospitality.

Hile Bhanjyang to Narsim Pati (3700m) includes an easy walk with a view of green slopes and rocky hills, a rhododendron forest, and a night stay in holy-inn made for pilgrimage tour.

Narsim Pati to Panch Pokhari (4100m)

Panch Pokhari to Tupi danda (2320m) a trail of 6-7 hours begins with a delightful view of mountains viz Mt. Dorje Lakpa, Jugal Himal Range, Rolwaling Range, and Langtang Range soundly along with Panch Pokhari.

The trip to Dhap (1200m) from Tupi danda is downhills which include the view of beautiful terraces of hillsides, gorge, and settlements of the Tamang people. You will get the opportunity to explore the culture, tradition, and architectural prosperity of the locality of Dhap village.

After a rest day, your trial heads towards Melamchi(800m) which takes around 5 to 6 hours. The Melamchi hydroelectric project, Melamchi Pul Bazaar, river Melamchi, densely populated lodge, and market are outstanding to explore.

Finally, you will reach Kathmandu via bus from Melamchi observing scenic beauty until 5-6 hours.

After you arrive at Kathmandu airport, our company member will welcome you and drop you at the hotel. In the evening you will meet your guide and get a briefing of the trek. You will have a welcome dinner with company members.

You will visit different cultural heritage sites of Kathmandu during the day trip. After having breakfast you will drive to Monkey temple and spend around 1.5 hours visiting the Shyambunath. After then you will go to Bouddhanath, Pashupatinath, and Kathmandu durbar square if possible.

After having breakfast we will leave Kathmandu and drive towards Chautara. Around five hours of drive in east of Kathmandu you will reach district headquarter of Sindupalchok – Chautara. Covering Kathmandu-Chautara distance of 72 Kilometer in Araniko Highway we will reach the destination of the day. 

After having breakfast in Chautara we will start our hiking towards Okhareni. We will pass Tamang and Gurung settlements, uphills and downhills, small streams, terrace farming on the Panchpokhari trekking route. Walking throughout the forest, terrace farming and settlements we will reach Sano Okhareni.

Enjoying the delicious breakfast in Sano Okhareni we will ascend to Thulo Okhareni. After around an hour of walk on ascending path we will descend down and follow the forest path. Enjoying the pine trial, rhododendron trees and diverse plants, animals and pasture, we will reach Kami Kharka. It is pasture for raring cattles. 

Panch Pokhari trekking trial to reach Pauwa Bas started with easy path. Less uphills and downhills on the forest trial with pine, oak and laligurans trees takes us to Pauwa Bas. We can see pastures, small houses of nomads for settling cattels in special time in our route. 

After having breakfast in Pauwa Bas we will ascend up hills to reach 3400m high Hile Bhanjyang. The uphills and downhills on the Panch Pokhari trekking route makes our trekking adventurous. The panoramic view of surrounding mountains, forest path, hills and pasture takes us to Hile for night stay.

Leaving Hile at around 8 am, we will start the hiking towards uphill. Around one hour of walk takes us to hill giving majestic view of mountains and landscape from Lower valley to horizon. The rhododentron trail, rocky landscape we will reach Narsim pati. 

After enjoying with breakfast in Narsim pati we will hike towards the final destination Panch Pokhari. The Holy five lakes on the same landscape is amazing to view. It takes around 5,6 hours to cover Narsim pati to Panch pokhari distance. 

We will wake up early in the morning and hike to Panch Pokhari top for sunrise view. The snowcapped ranges of Dorje Lakpa, Jugal Himal, Rolwaling and Langtang Himal makes our trek complete and jouful. We will descend down to Tupi danda and stay overnight in Tupi danda.

After having breakfast in Tupi danda we will trek down to Dhap. Passing the terrace farming, forest and steep slopes on Panch Pokhari trekking route we will reach Dhap in 5 hours.

Today is the last day to complete walking trial of Panch - Pokhari trekking. We will reach Melamchi following the downhills throught the terrace farmlands, forest and trekking route. It takes around 5-6 hours to cover Dhap to Melamchi route. 

After having breakfast in Melamchi we will drive back to Kathmandu in private car. It takes around 6 hours to reach Thamel from Melamchi. 

Today is resting day you can do your last minute shopping, visit markets of Kathmandu and spend good time
