Itinerary

You will land in Tribhuvan International airport, Kathmandu as a very first step for Yala peak climbing. Our company member will welcome you and drive you to the hotel. At the evening you will have a welcome dinner with company members on cultural restaurant. You will meet with your guide and talk about the trip as well.Night stay at hotel.

Since you need information about climbing Yela peak before starting your trip, we will information and preparation session on the second day. After having breakfast, you will have get together with all other expedition members. You will get initial briefing and detail information regarding to preparation of climbing and entire trekking.On the noon, you will have lunch and can utilize your free time for either shopping or visiting Thamel Bazzar. Thamel bazzar is beautiful part of Kathmandu city facilitate with market, hotels, Restaurant and Nepalese tradition. You can buy a variety of Nepali cultural materials, clothing, dry food jewelry.Night stay at hotel.

On the third day we will leave Kathmandu after delicious breakfast. Enjoying the scenic drive on the bank of Trishuli River, we will head towards the North of Kathmandu and reach Syabrubeshi (1503m). With taking break for lunch and viewing green hills, forest, flowing river, market along road sides, White Mountain on far horizon, we will reach our destination after nine hours.Night stay on tea house.

Syabrubeshi (1503m) is the starting point of walk. After having breakfast, our trek begins towards Lama hotel - the oldest isolated valley the oldest isolated valley. Before reaching Lama hotel, we will cross Bhote Koshi, Langtang river, walk through jungle, rural settlements, bamboo and birch forest. The raring red panda, flowing bhote koshi, terrace farming and greenery attracts more. We will reach lama hotel in 5 hour. Lama Hotel is Night stay at lama hotel.

After having breakfast we start our trekking towards Langtang village.  Following the steep path we walk through forest of Maple, Oak and Rhododendron. The pure water flowing water falls drag our attention. The creeping of birds, burble of water, and totally peaceful environment makes our walk tiredless. We will reach Ghodatabela, another attraction of the day where we will see green meadows with colourful blooming herbs. After passing Ghodatabela we will reach Langtang village.Night stay at Langtang village.

Today we will walk early than previous day so that we can reach Kyanjin Gompa at Lunch time in a purpose for getting more time to rest and acclimatize our body. As soon as after taking breakfast, we will start climbing uphills of Langtang village. The trial passes through small village, different yak pastures, Mani walls and reach Mundu, a small village on hill top. We will cross many wooden bridges, streams and walk on of beaten path through forest and reach Kyanjin Gompa, the destination of the day.Kyanjin Gompa is best place for scenic beauty as we can view snowcapped peaks, Langtang Lirung (7227m) and Langtang II (6596m). The close up mountain view also shows the icefalls from the peak giving heavenly peace in us. Night stay at Kyanjin Gompa.

As with increasing elevation the level of oxygen remains less in the environment, we need to acclimatize our body with taking rest on which the blood plasma will be thickened and the body can function well.To make our day memorable we will visit Kyanjin Gompa – The Gompa giving name to the place, Cheese factory, and walk up to glaciers of Langtang Lirung or ascend Kyanjin Ri (4350m) situated behind the village from where we can see breathtaking panorama of the Langtang peak: Kinshung (6181m), Langtang Lirung (7227m), Yannsa Tsenji (6567m).Night stay at Kyanjin Gompa

We will leave Kyanjin Gompa and hike towards Yela Peak Base camp early in the morning. As we ascend uphill the magistic beauty of place energize us even being walked on rocky path. After around seven hours of walk we will reach Yela peak base camp. The surrounding welcomes us with the view of Yela peak (5500m) along with Gangchempo (6387m), Tserko Ri (4984m) covered with snow. After taking rest, our climbers will give you detail information regarding to climbing techniques and use of climbing materials. Full preparation for climbing will be done after getting information from climbers.Night stay at base camp.

The most adventurous day of the entire trek, Yela peak summit climbing definitely makes you more excited. The climbing starts before sunrise so that we can reach on the summit before the strong Himalayan wind during the noon. The adventurous climb to Yela peak not only fulfills your dream of being on summit of Yela peak, it makes you a climber. Passing the crevasses and holding the challenges of snowy step slopes, we will reach to the summit. The majestic view of mountains along with its shiny appearance on the incidence of rising sunlight give heavenly view. Joy and happiness showers on you with the successful climb to Yela peak. We will return back to base camp after spending sometime on the top. Overnight at base camp.

After having breakfast in Yela peak base camp, we will leave the camp and head towards Kyanjin Gompa (3830m). The memorable beauty from summit of Yela peak, adventurous climb and the divine peace on foot of mountain glow up in us as we become far from base camp. After 5 hours of walk, we will reach Kyanjin Gompa, the valley surrounded with white Himalaya and green hills. The cultural beauty and local food on Kanjin Gompa supports to relief from tiredness.Night stay at tea house.

After having breakfast, we will descend towards lama Hotel. The distance from Kyanjingompa to lama hotel is long (14km), we should walk 6 -7 hours to reach the destination passing the Langtang village. The high mountains and hills makes us to take break to view its beauty behind us. Walking through the rhododendron forest, streams, wooden bridges, Tamang village and Ghodatabela we will reach Lamahotel. Night stay at Lama Hotel.

We will start our walk after taking breakfast in Lama hotel. The path descend via Sherpa village, Chilime hydropower plant. Cheering with tamang community we leave the wonderful LAngtang region behind us and reach Syabrubeshi. The long trekking path ends with entering the tea house of Syabrubeshi.Night stay at tea house.

Today’s journey doesn’t cover walk on foot, we will leave Syabrubeshi and drive towards Kathmandu after having breakfast. Enjoying the long drive with scenic beauty of snowcapped mountain, amazing landscapes, flowing river, waterfalls and mini markets on the road side, we will reach Kathmandu.Night stay at hotel.

Kathmandu valley itself is an amazing city where you can get cultural, historical, religious and scenic beauty at once. You will spend this day by having Kathmandu day tour with visiting world’s cultural heritage: Pashupati nath, Shyambunath, Bouddhanath and Kathmandu durbar square.In the evening you can visit Thamel Bazzar and have shopping as well. You will have farewell dinner with company members.Night stay at Hotel.

Finally the long trek and expedition: Yela peak climbing comes to the end as Company member drops you to Tribhuvan Internatonal airport for the flight to your country.

The best season for Yala peak climbing is autumn and spring. The weather of Langtang region remains suitable for climbers and trekkers in autumn and Spring rather than in winter and summer.We choose spring and autumn as the best season for Yala peak climbing because we can have the clear vision, blooming rhododendron, dry path, no clouds and foggy weather only in these seasons. During winter season, climbing will be challenging even not possible due to very low temperature. Similarly the heavy rainfall, wind and sloppy path makes trekking and climbing very difficult during summer.

Keeping Yala peak a side, there are many mountains in Nepal which can be climbed with low risk. Some of the mountain having low risk of climb are Island peak, Mera peak, Lobuche East, Dhampus peak and Thorangla peak.

The Yala peak (5700m) climbing is short and easy expedition in langtang region. You can reach on the summit of Yala peak on the 9th day of your trip. The entire trip is of 15 days including Kathmandu day tour, arrival and departure day. Out of 15 days, you will be in Langtang region for 11 days and remaining 4 days in Kathmandu. The beauty of Langtang region, glory of summit attempt and a new experience of trekking in Langtang region and climbing Yala peak definitely brings some changes in you. The peaceful environment, mountainous surrounding, varieties of rhododendron blooming in spring season retains your mind and soul. Accommodation in Yala peak climbing

You will get best accommodation in Langtang region. Tea houses provides best food and clean rooms. Attached room are available in Syabrubeshi (1503m). As you trek to high altitude, you should use common bathrooms outside your room.

Food in yala peak climbing

We provide breakfast, lunch and dinner in our package. Generally you will have tea coffee, varieties of bread, jam, butter, curry, egg items, juice and other food options according to the menu in breakfast. In dinner and Lunch, Nepali Thali (rice, dal, curry, pickle, papad) is most common as it is hygienic and fresh. Also you can choose other food items such as spaghetti, muesli, chowmein, noodles and other food items from menu of tea houses. Choosing Food options will also depends on group of trekkers as well.

Preparation for Yala peak climbing

Yala peak climbing is not hard to climb and you don’t need special techniques but good preparation is essential. You should do regular physical exercises, running before a month or more. It is necessary to be physically and mentally fit. The climber will give you training regarding to the equipment on the second day of your trip.

After climbing Yela peak you will have best experience of climbing so that you can climp to Island peak, Mera peak, Lobuche East, Dhampus peak and Thorangla peak easily.

Travel insurance

You should do travel insurance for trekking and climbing peak in Nepal. In case you feel difficulties, sick or any accidental event occurs then insurance company will evacuate you via helicopter and even takes you to hospital for your fitness.  Thus Travel insurance is most important for your safety.
