Mount Everest base camp is the most popular travel destination in the world. It is a selective trekking point that leads to the highest peak in the world. The Mount Everest base camp elevation is 5364 meters above sea level, or 17598 feet asl, on its southern slope in Nepal. The north Everest base camp elevation is 5150 masl in the Tibet Autonomous Region, China.

Comparatively, expedition from north face of Mount Everest is more technical than one from the southern face. The trekking route to Everest base camp starts from Lukla and continues for eight days to reach EBC. We will acclimatize in Namche and Dingboche, So, six days walking and two rest days is the best arrangement for perfect trekking. We can return Lukla within three days. Phakding, Namche, Tengboche, Lobuche and Gorekshep are the locations for accommodation sites while ascending to base camp. Pheriche, Namche and Lukla are the locations for the accommodation while descending from base camp.
We should walk six to seven hours every day to reach base camp, but the trekking route will be long while descending. We can cover long distance while trekking downward due to no risk of altitude sickness and low elevation.
