Khumai danda trek is newly established trekking destination for amazing view of Annapurna Himalayan range. Khumai danda trekking trial is easy and short as compared to Mardi Himal trek and Poon hill trek.

If you want to start the trek from Kathmandu then we can compete the trek within 5 days. If we start from Pokhara then Khumai danda trekking can be done in three days. There are different options of Khumai danda trekking route. To compete the trek in short time and in low budget we can choose Khumai danda trekking from and to Kathmandu without flight in five days. If you are in Pokhara then we can choose 3 days Khumai danda trek itinerary as follow:

Khumai danda trek itinerary, 3 days:The shortest itinerary details from Pokhara:

Day 1: Drive to Hemja (1097m/3599ft) from Pokhara and trek to Hille Kharka (1932m/ 6338.583ft) through Ghachowk (1494m/4902ft).

After having breakfast in Pokhara we will drive to Hemja through Baglung highway. The wonderful view of Machhapuchhre on the horizon gives reflect best starting of the trek. We can enjoy the surrounding view and reach Hemja after 30minute drive from Pokhara.

The Khumai danda trekking route begins from Hemja. Passing the forest trial, terrace farming, local houses we will reach Ghachowk. The majestic view of Annapurna range from Ghachowk increase the excitement of trekking. It takes around 6 hours to cover Hemja to Hile Kharka distance.

Day 2: Trek to Khumai danda (3245m) from Hile Kharka.

Taking our breakfast in tea house of Hile Kharka we will start our trekking around 8 am in the morning. The forest path welcome us in the beginning. The uphill and downhills with natural music creating peace in our mind takes us above treeline. The open land covered with Himalayan herbs is another attraction of the Hile Kharka to Khumai danda trekking route.

The open land on the top of the hill makes you stand above the clouds. Passing the Samsur Deurali through the pasture we will reach our destination after 6 hours of trek. The panoramic view of Mt fishtail, Dhaulagiri and Annapurna range quench the thirst of Mountain View from Khumai danda. We will take rest and enjoy the beautiful nature of Annapurna region Nepal.

Day 3: Hike to Khumai danda view point (3700m), trek down to Ghachowk and drive back to Pokhara.

The last day of trekking offers more adventure and wonderful view of mountain, hills, and Annapurna landscape. We have to wake up early in the morning and hike to Khumai danda view point before sunrise. We will Enjoy the shinning mountain with sunrays falling on the mountain top and settled clouds on the downhill. Spend an hour on Korchan danda we will return back to Khumai dada and then to Ghachowk. After reaching Ghachowk we will return back to Pokhara in private vehicle.

When to go Khumai danda?

Khumai danda trek time is March, April, May, September, October, November, and December. Spring season and Autumn seasons are the best seasons for trekking in the Annapurna region. The pleasant weather, and a wonderful view of snow-covered mountains, changing landscape from the bank of the river to the top of the massif Annapurna makes your trek best in Autumn and spring.

Blooming rhododendron - the national flower of Nepal on the hills of the trekking route is best part of attraction during March and April. You can see colorful flowers, butterflies, diversified plants and animals during the trek.
