Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek Itinerary

On the very first day of your Everest Luxury Trek, you will arrive in Nepal. The Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu will be our junction, where you will meet with the Mission Summit Treks team. After a warm welcome, you will be taken to the Luxury Hotel in Kathmandu.

Night stay: in the Luxury Hotel ( five-star hotel) in Kathmandu.

The second day of trip involves a day tour in Kathmandu. Kathmandu is fascinated with different cultural heritages listed in UNESCO. Beginning the tour after having breakfast, we will visit Pashupatinath, Bauddhanath, Swayambhunath, and Kathmandu Durbar square. Depending upon tiredness and available time, we will also visit Thamel Bazar in the evening.

Night stay: Luxury Hotel of Kathmandu

You will reach the gateway of Namche Bazar – Lukla, on the morning of the third day. It will take around half an hour to reach Lukla by flight. During your flight, you will enjoy the wonderful view of mountains, flowing rivers, and the sparkling Himalayas. After our arrival in Lukla, we will have breakfast, and the luxury trek to Phakding begins.

The stone-paved path, downslope, and bank of Dudh Koshi take you to a beautiful village of Phakding. Sometimes you will walk uphill through the woods and suspension bridges over the river. You will find luxury tea houses in Phakding.

Night stay: Yeti Mountain Home in Phakding.

Leaving the beauty of Phakding, we will start our Everest base camp luxury lodging trek towards Namche Bazzar after having a delicious breakfast. Walking through the rhododendron forest, suspension bridges, including the Hillary suspension bridge (highest suspension bridge), pine trial, Jorsale, and Manjo village, we will reach Namche Bazaar.

Namche Bazaar is one of the best towns of the Everest region. All sorts of facilities related to the Everest Base Camp luxury trek are available here. It is also referred to as the Thamel of Himalaya. Along with trekking, you can enjoy the traditional and cultural beauty of the Khumbu region.

Night stay in Yeti Mountain Home.

To acclimatize the body, we will have a short walk to Sangboche on the fifth day and return to the Everest View Hotel. We will start Sangboche hiking after breakfast. You will walk uphill and enjoy the view of your surroundings. The Sangbuche airport, small villages, schools, and off road give a glimpse of life in remote areas.

We will hike to the Everest View Hotel from Sangbuche. The hotel is in highest altitude, where you will have a majestic view of the Eastern Mountain Ranges. Mount Everest, Nupste, Lostse Shar, Amma Doblam, Tabuche, Cholache, Kusum Khangaru, Khangteka, and Thamsherkhu standing in alignment give a wonderful scenario.

After around 2 hours of walking, we will rest in Everest View Hotel.

Night stay in the Everest View hotel.

We will leave the Everest View hotel and trek towards Debuche after having breakfast. The trial follows neither steep downhill nor difficult uphill, thus, the trial to Debuche via Tengboche is considered as best trial of the Everest base camp trek.

The rhododendron forest, flowing river on the base of the mountain, the yak kharka, mane and chorten on the path make our eyes busy viewing its beauty. The view of the white mountain ranges along with Mt. Everest becomes closer as we walk forward.

We will reach Debuche after walking for around five hours, passing Kaynjuma, Phungi Thanga, and Tengboche – one of the oldest and most powerful monasteries in the Everest region.

Night stay in Rivendell Lodge.

Today we will cross 4000 m altitude and reach to new destination, Dingboche (4410 m). After having breakfast, we will descend downward to a small spring and cross the suspension bridge. Uphills with junipers and rhododendrons of small height fascinate our trail. The greatest permanent Sherpa village, named Pangboche, became our resting zone after walking uphill for a few hours.

We will reach Somare by walking through Pangboche and crossing the Imja stream. As we walk forward, the Himalayan view of Nuptse, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam attracts us and makes us want to take photographs and videos. After around five hours of walking from Debuche, a beautiful Sherpa village of Dingboche welcomed us with a luxury lodge. We can enjoy yak farms, prayer wheels, and stone-decorated Dingboche.

Night stay in Summit Hotel.

As we will be at an altitude above 4000 m while reaching Dingboche, our body needs enough rest. To acclimatize the body against increasing altitude with decreasing air pressure and prevent altitude sickness, we will stay in Dingboche. Thus, on the eighth day, we will have a rest in Dingboche. After having breakfast, we will have a short trek to Nagarjun Hill to view the beauty of Mt. Makalu and return to the summit hotel.

After having lunch, you can walk a few hours to Chukhung or stay in a hotel to get enough rest.

The grazing yak, mountain goats, and Himalayan range attract our attention.

Finally, we will reach Lobuche, enjoying the nature of the Khumbu region.

Night stay at the Himalayan Eco Lodge.

After having breakfast, we will head towards Gorak Shep, the last resting place of the Everest Base Camp luxury trek. It is the last day to reach Everest Base Camp. The beauty of the place and excitement to reach the base of Mount Everest add energy to us. The close up view of Mount Everest with forwarding steps doesn’t let us feel tired. Crossing glaciers, walking over the rocks, and viewing Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhola, Mt. Khumbuste, Mt. Changaste, Mount Pumori, Mt. Everest, and Labuche Peak, we will reach Gorakshep (5140 m).

After having lunch in Gorekshep, we will rest for a while and walk towards Everest base camp. An hour's walk from Gorekshep takes us to Everest Base Camp. The long journey started in Kathmandu will reach its destination point as we step onto Everest Base Camp.

The low temperature will not allow us to stay long in base camp. Thus, after spending about an hour, we will return to Gorekshep.

Night stay at the tea house of Gorekshep.

We will wake up very early in the morning to climb Kalapatthar and view the sunrise. The wonderful scenario of Mount Everest, Nuptse, Lotshe, Pumori, Lhola, Khumbuste, Changuste, Amadablam, Lobuche Peak, and Mera Peak from Kalapather will be great to capture on your gadget. After capturing the sunrise view and mountainous scenario, we will return to Gorekshep.

The trekking towards lower altitude will begin as we checkout from the tea house in Gorekshep. We will start our walk on the same path through which we came to Gorekshep. The mountainous view remains behind us and becomes far more distant as we move ahead towards Pheriche.

After walking around 5 hours from Gorekshep, we will reach Pheriche. We can have a wonderful view of Mt. Amadablam, Lobuche Peak, Tabuche Peak, and Cholache Peak from Pheriche.

We will descend to Manjo village from Namche bazzar. The pine trial, the Hillary suspension bridge, and the conflux between Dudh Koshi and Bhotekoshi lead us to Monjo village, lying in Sagarmatha National Park.

Night stay in Yeti Mountain home.

Finally, the last day of the Everest Base Camp Luxury trek takes us to Lukla.  The Khumbu region welcomes us with cool air flowing from Dudhkoshi in Manjo village. After enjoying the delicious breakfast of Yeti Mountain home, we will descend towards Lukla. Walking uphills and downhills, following the forest trail, and crossing wooden and suspension bridges, we will reach Phakding and have lunch. The bank of Dudhkoshi will lead us to Lukla. We reach Lukla after around 6 hours of walking from Manjo.

Night stay in Yeti Mountain Home.

Depending on the flight time, we will wake up early in the morning and check out of the hotel. We will return to Kathmandu via a Lukla flight.
